The Derrynoid Centre is situated in 250 acres of secluded forest woodland on the site of the 18th Century Manor House, Derrynoid Lodge. Guests may stroll along one of the beautiful nature trails through the surrounding forest.
Nestled at the foot of the Sperrins, the Derrynoid Centre is surrounded by beautiful mountains and a variety of walks to suit everyone’s needs, from the casual walker to the more experienced mountain climber.
Cycling opportunities are in abundance with a range of local cycling routes and trails both on and off road, that go through the countryside, villages and townlands.
The town of Draperstown also presents The Flight of the Earls Experience at the Ulster Plantation Centre situated in the heart of Draperstown.
Other attractions within a few miles of the Derrynoid Centre are Angling in the Rivers Foyle, Lough Neagh and Lower Bann, golfing (18 hole) at Moyola Golf Club, Castledawson, and caravan and camping parks at locations such as Ballyronan Marina, and Sixtowns.
Historical buildings such as Springhill House in Moneymore, Wellbrook Beetling Mill near Cookstown, Bellaghy Bawn and An Creagan Visitor Centre in Greencastle near Omagh, to name only a few are worth a visit.
There are also a range of festivals, events and entertainment throughout the year. Sperrins Hillwalking Festival, Storytelling, and Musical festivals are just a few.
Leisure Centres and Cinemas and in the neighbouring towns of Maghera, Magherafelt and Cookstown.
